What MedShort.ca Is
MedShort.ca is an independent tool that displays Canadian drug shortage and discontinuation data sourced from Health Canada's Health Product Shortages database. We are not affiliated with Health Canada or any government agency.
Not Medical Advice
Nothing on MedShort.ca is medical advice. The information is for general reference only. Do not stop or change your medication without speaking to a pharmacist or healthcare professional. If you have a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
Accuracy of Information
We source shortage data directly from Health Canada's public API and sync it periodically, but we don't control the underlying data and can't guarantee it's complete, current, or error-free. Always confirm critical information with the official Health Product Shortages Canada website or your pharmacist.
Accounts
Creating an account (to favorite drugs and receive notifications) requires a valid email. You're responsible for keeping access to your email/account secure. We may suspend or remove accounts used to abuse the service.
Acceptable Use
Don't use MedShort.ca to scrape or republish our data at scale, attempt to disrupt the service, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Disclaimer of Warranties
MedShort.ca is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MedShort.ca and its operator are not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, including decisions made based on information shown here.
